AU Alumni to present seminar at Akron Art Museum


Ashland University Art Department Alumni Charlie Wagers will present a seminar on screen printing at the Akron Art Museum on January 16, 2014. The presentation is part of the museum’s current  exhibition, “Multiplicity: Contemporary Prints from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.”  Wagers will discuss his favorite prints in the exhibition and introduce museum goers to the print-making processes.

Wagers, a 2009 graduate from AU’s Commercial Art program, is currently the senior designer and co-founder of Three Bears Design.  His work includes websites, album covers, concert and event posters and more. His client list is varied and includes Proctor & Gamble, Six Flags Amusement Park, and Tooth and Nail Records. He has been recognized by CMYK Magazine, UnderConsideration LLC, Lomography, and the American Advertising Federation.  While a student, he was awarded best in both the Drawing and Digital Art/Photography categories in the 2007 Juried Student Event at the Coburn Gallery.
